Workhome Studies: The Workhome in Student Projects
The Covid-19 shift to home-based work has major implications for the design of our buildings and cities. Almost overnight, homes and workplaces, suburbs and Central Business Districts need to be re-imagined and configured to reap the benefits and mitigate the disadvantages of this age-old working practice. Architectural students across the world have been hard at it – spurred on by their tutors. In this ongoing series, we showcase some of the best student work that addresses this paradigm shift head-on, at the scale of the home, the building, the block, the neighbourhood or the city, contextualised by their tutor’s reflections.
